Introduction:

Mariam and Jacob met at the LOGOS young adult retreat in August of 2023, and started dating in February of 2024. At the time, Mariam was attending college in Ohio, and Jacob was adjusting to his new job as a software developer in Dyer, Indiana.

Dating:

Buying a car allowed Jacob to visit Mariam at least one weekend per month, where they spent time exploring Cuyahoga Valley National Park and attending church at Firelands Grace OPC and Redeemer Church PCA.

Engagement:

On July 13th, 2024, Mariam and Jacob expanded their exploration of national landmarks with a day trip to Niagara Falls State Park in New York, at which Jacob proposed to Mariam on the viewing deck at the base of the Bridal Veil Falls.
