What will the weather be like?
Lynwood, Illinois, in late November typically experiences cool to cold weather. It will likely feel chilly, especially if there's any wind. Snow is possible, but not guaranteed.
Where should I stay?
We’ve reserved three hotel blocks for our guests, available for booking until October 21. These rooms are set aside for you, but you will need to book and pay for them individually. There are also several other hotels nearby if you prefer different accommodations.
Are children allowed?
Absolutely! We’re delighted to have children join us on this special day. Please let us know how many will be attending by including them in your RSVP so we can make sure there’s enough food and seating for everyone. If a child becomes upset or fussy during the ceremony, we kindly ask that they be taken outside for a moment to help keep the experience enjoyable for all guests. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
When should I arrive?
The ceremony will start promptly at 1:00 PM (CST). We recommend arriving by 12:45 PM to give yourself plenty of time to find a seat and settle in.
How will parking work?
There is plenty of parking at both venues so you won’t have to worry about finding a spot!
When will food be served?
After the ceremony, everyone is invited to join us for cookie hour in the fellowship hall. For those who received an invitation to the wedding reception, dinner will be served at 4:30 PM.
What if I have a dietary restriction?
If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know when you RSVP. This will help us make sure we accommodate your needs and plan accordingly.
Will alcohol be served?
No.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
No.
Can I bring a plus one?
Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate a plus one for everyone. If we’ve allowed a plus one for you, their name or “Plus One” will be listed on your RSVP profile. If you feel someone important was missed, please let us know, but understand that we may be restricted by our guest limits. Thank you for your understanding!
What should I wear?
Please wear semi-formal attire.
Are there any colors I should avoid wearing?
We kindly ask that you avoid wearing white. We want the bride to stand out on this special day.
What do I do if something changes and I can’t make it after I’ve RSVP'd?
We understand that plans can change. If you need to update your RSVP, please reach out as soon as possible to mariamrainamartinez01@gmail.com.
Can I take home centerpieces, decorations, etc.?
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to take home centerpieces or decorations. Some of them are borrowed, so we ask that you please leave them in place.
Where are you registered?
We’re registered with Amazon and The Knot. Your presence at our wedding is the most important gift, but if you’d like to give something more, you can find our registries there. Thank you!
Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?
Cards can be brought to the ceremony and/or wedding reception and will be placed in a card basket. Gifts should be sent to the return address listed on your wedding invitation.
Will you be live streaming your wedding?
Yes, we are planning to live stream our wedding so that those who can’t be with us in person can still join in on the celebration. A link will be provided on the home page of this website closer to the wedding date.
Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?
Yes, there will be a time gap. The wedding ceremony will end around 2:15 PM, followed by a cookie hour until 3:30 PM. The reception, which will be at a different location, will begin at 4:00 PM.
What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?
The wedding reception will end around 7:00 PM. There will not be an after-party.
